Hello! I am about to purchase a 2017 Outback, 2.5i premium with 188k miles, excellent condition. I checked the Carfax, there are some service records but no indication of a CVT flush or change. The price is $6995, no warranty but there is a significant dent on the passenger side rear panel (no biggie, really). Any thoughts on whether I'm taking a big chance on this one? I've been reading up on CVT transmissions and it seem kind of mixed whether or not to flush the tranny oil at this mileage if it has never been done.

I would not rely on Carfax info. There is a lot that they do not report. Also they can report a lot of minor things, which does not seem to be your case. Best thing is to get the car examined by a certified mechanic before buying it. Price does seem high given the mileage, but its hard to tell.
