2015 Subaru crosstrek

i had a guy replace the motor on my 2015 crosstrek and he ended up replacing it with the 2.5 instead of the original. Now the transmission wont work, the computer is having issues reading the temperature of the transmission and it has the light that shows it at a slant. The motor turns on just fine and idles perfectly. Any suggestions on what the issue could be?

Wrong mechanic... Get a loaner until he fixes it.
