Two different sellers have these vehicles for sale near me, both with manual transmissions. The 2013 Forester has about 115K miles and the 2014 Outback has 121K. As I said, both have manual transmissions. Are there any reasons to prefer one over the other?

Would take the Outback, hands down.
More room and better ride.
Gas mileage will be nearly identical.
