Hello everyone,
I have a 2012 legacy 2.5i premium, and it has been a couple of times that I changed the headlight bulb on my left (when driving) and it has gone out immediately. I noticed that when it was first changed, it still didn't work but I could see the light go on for about half a sec and then off for the drive, every time I started the vehicle. Now it doesn't even flash anymore when I start it. The bulb was fine when I looked after changing it, so maybe the issue is the connector for that headlight. However, there are other issues with my almost 190k miles legacy.
For most of my ownership, one of the back windows didn't go down, but recently now it's the driver window that doesn't go down. Further, my sunroof also stopped working. It lifts and closes the sunroof but it doesn't push it back to open fully anymore. From my understanding, the issue with my windows could be the master cylinder at driver's door for the power windows and the master cylinder for the sunroof which I believe is a separate one and located on the roof itself. This makes sense, but since I had this issue with my headlights, I wonder if these issues are all connected; hence the possible eletrical issue in the title.
I also noticed that when I put my windows down or do other activities with the car's controls, the idling of the vehicle changes, like it is making some effort to put my window down, the idling drops for a second, but from what I read in the forum this may be a natural Subaru behavior. I thought that this behavior was also part of the (possible) electrical problem, but this occurs naturally from Subaru, right?
