Bought a 2011 Subaru Outback that developed a leak on the passenger’s side which I tried to address without success. Radio amplifier got enough water that it was corroded (blowing fuses when they tried to get it to work) and needs to be replaced (repair shop is saying $700.00 approximately.) Roof will now not open, sent the repair shop the TSBs (found on another group site) regarding roof leak and moonroof but he can’t get it to open – wiggles the toggle switch back and forth and nothing happens to lift it or open it. Says he needs to replace it - $1400-1500 approximately.
Can you recommend any other course of action to get the roof open?
Finally, are these prices in line for a repair shop to fix?
