Last night, driving home in my 2010 Impreza, I noticed that when I turned on the headlights, the radio and climate control backlight didn’t come on. I was unable to see my climate control or radio buttons. Any ideas?

Hopefully a bug maybe, but I think it's always back lit so if it's visible at day it should be at night too unless there's some sorta switching bug having to do with headlights.

I DISABLED CAR ALARM CAN THIS CAUSE MY ISSUE?
REASON I TURNED OFF ALARM IS THAT MY FOBs ARENT ALWAYS WORKING AND USING THE KEY TRIGGERS THE ALARM UNTIL I PLACE KEY IN IGNITION.

UPDATE, I just noticed
When I turn on my headlights, my three rear lights do not come on. However, when I apply the brake, all three lights turn on.

Is this related to BACKLIGHT issue or something different?

Brake lights are separate from tail lights and should be on a different fuse. Don't think the upper center light comes on with tail lights as that is typically just a brake light.

1. when i turn on head lights, my rear lights don't come on at all (I started car, I expect red lights on Left & Right does it mean both are burnt?)
2. when i apply brake three lights come on (right, left & Center)

Like I said tail lights and brake lights are different. If both taillights are out, suspect a blown fuse or something common to both lights. If you don't feel qualified or capable, take it to a pro and pay them to fix it.

Ooops main fuse was #16 15A, replaced it was blown.

Fuse box in car #15 15A was also blown...replaced it with fuse in slot #9
took fuse #9 15A

Everything works now.
Except the missing fuse #9 front wiper deicer!

Thank you!
