2008 Outback slight rattle noise than barely any acceleration.

Hello all,
I have a 2008 Outback that I purchased last year with a rebuild engine.
I've encountered some issues as expected, blown radiator, replaced all exhaust pipes and of course general maintenance which I have no issue with. I am current on maintenance.
Today I was leaving the grocery store and my car made a slight rattle noise,
Immediately after that rattle noise I lost just about ALL acceleration my car would not go greater than 5 mph. Any idea of the cause? I'm fortunate enough to live less than 5 minutes from the food store.

Hope someone knows. I have 2016 Outback. Few days ago, the battery was dead. When I jumped it the engine shook and shaked, sounded like the carburetor was stuck or spark plugs mis-fired. I tried driving it, it only got up to 7 mph and all dashboard lights were on. Had it towed to mechanic, they had to jump it originally but it ran with no problem for them for 2 days. The gas pedal had no resistance and it was down as far as it can go.

Update.. It was a bad catalytic converter
