2005 Legacy GT Limited...

Howdy Folks,

Looking to purchase this car soon. I have owned a 2001 Outback (Base
wagon) with auto. I ahve really enjoyed this car but I'm looking for
something sporty, and since I love all wheel drive, the Legacy looks
great to me.

Any owners out there happy with the 2005 Legacy GT Limited

Had mine about a week a (wagon gt limited with 5MT) and so far am very
pleased. My previous car was a WRX and the one before that was a 2000
Outback. This one is like the Outback I had, only with the extra power it
needed to be adeqauate and then some more thrown in for fun.
I replaced the Outback with theWRX because when I stopped the Outback on a
moderately steep hill, especially athigh altitude, I could not get it
moving again without unloading everything and then having to rev it to 5000
and slip (burn) the clutch. Apart from that it was a great car, but the new
one is better both in performance, quietness and general feel. If you like
your Outback you will really like the new one, especially with the 5 speed
stick, although you had better move on it soon as they are in short supply
right now. No, that is not a line from the dealer. There are 3 dealers in my
area and only one had one in stock which happened to be the color I wanted.

Very much.
The only downside for me is that the stereo is integrated into the
climate control = can't just buy an aftermarket radio. The stereo with
sub woofer does sound good though.
