2002 Outback Further Update

So far shut down by Subaru, saying whatever happend isn't their fault. Even if
the connecting rod broke with plenty of oil and oil pressure. They didn't even
look into the computer codes. I've had to push to get that to happen. Shop
manager out in Larrmie opened the hood and said, "Yup, problem is the engine
blew somthing." and went no further. I think
I'd call him a "Human Check Engine Light" for the most part. Didn't make any
attempt beyond that and Subaru didn't push him either.

So much for Customer Service and Customer Good Will.
 
Did you write to the president of Subaru of America?

I did when I had a not so serious problem as yours. The dealer, the
regional tech rep, etc. had shut me down. I got his name from the
Subaru magazine, but I am sure you can get it somehow else.

He did get my problem solved. Do not know if it is still the same guy.

Open a case with Subaru Customer service. It supposedly helps.

Customer Service: 1-800-SUBARU3 (1-800-782-2783)
Hours of Operation: 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (EST) Monday
through Thursday
10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (EST) Friday
 
You really have to raise a fuss to get satisfaction. Had to do te
same with a trouble prone Passat to get some things fixed that
shouldnt have failed.

Do you remember if it was Thomas Doll, or Tim Mahoney?
