2006 Legacy GT with a 2.5 out of a 2005 Subaru Impreza. I have a Cobb tuner plugged in and it is turboed on approx. 12 pounds.
Long story short, a couple homies and I were going about 90mph over the interstate bridge when all of a sudden there was white and blue smoke dumping out of the exhaust; checked and it was not overheating. We immediately pulled over and turned the car off- it has not started since; it cranks and tries to turn over but doesn't. It wasn't throwing any codes but I threw in my code scanner for the heck of it and two codes popped up: misfire in cylinder 2 and 4. I then cleared them and tried to start the car; the car sounded like it wanted to turn over even more now but again, did not.
Prior to this event, I noticed the turbo was quite laggy as I would try to smoke some tail and it would take about .5 seconds - 1 second for my car to get into boost which was not normal. Another thing it kept doing was throwing a code for misfire in cylinder 4. I would clear it and it would always come back, so I did a tune up and didn't get the misfire code back for a good 300 miles but it ultimately came back.
I checked the timing belt and it was pristine and there was still oil in the vehicle; no "milk" in it and it's low by about 2 quarts, but still in decent standing. I am at a loss due to my lack of knowledge on boosted/tuned cars. I got a settlement from my dads passing and I went out and bought this without thinking it fully through and that's my fault. I just would like help in finding some answers. Thank you so much!
