So for the last few weeks I've had issues with my Impreza ( 1999 GX Auto). It was struggling to accelerate, idle was fluctuating and after a few minutes of driving the engine would vibrate horribly when it was in drive with my foot on the brake (as I was waiting at the traffic lights).
First thing I tried was a new fuel filter - which didn't help.
Next I heard the MAF sensor could be bad, so I tried looking for that and discovered my car has a MAP not a MAF.
So my dad suggested I clean the MAP with some Carb cleaner which I just did today.
But when I started the car again the idle issue is still there but now the power light on the dash is flashing that may be because of a transmission issue?
Could me cleaning the MAP have caused the trans to go? I read you can do some sequence to make the lights flash a code but I don't understand how to do it?
Any help would be appreciated
