New to the Subaru family, bought a 2010 Impreza 2.5 MT sedan to use as a winter car. Of course has some issues and working thru them. So I am in no way a mechanic, so be nice guys, point me in the right direction when I need!!!
So first question, rear backing plates. No wait, they’re gone! Love Maine winters. To replace with new, wheel bearing have to come out? Can they be used again or replace them also.
Also I got some oil around the filter after having the oil changed, at Subaru, so OEM filter. Did they just not get it tightened up? Should a wrench be used? Will do myself next time. Thank you guys in advance, hope you all have a great new year!!

Make sure the person that removed the filter didn't leave the old "O" ring stuck to the oil filter adapter.
A slight tug with a strap is all that needed with a filter.
Tools are required with safety stands. Be smart about this.
