05 Legacy GT Opinion Request and Question

How do you like it? Do you have a trailer hitch on it? How low does the
hitch hang? Thanks.

Try www.etrailer.com. You can see the hitches and read installation
guides. It was no problem installing on an 04 OBW. The only real
visible part is the one that goes under the muffler. A hitch that has
this OVER the muffler (draw tite) may be less visible.

We have an 04 OBW. The cars are completely different, as is the hitch
design. I looked at etrailer, and a few others, but you can't tell from what
is shown there. I think Hiddenhitch might be more "hidden" than Drawtite.
1-800-hitch-it's physical location is near me, so I may stop by there.

It looks like you'll only see the receiver since it is the lowest part
of the hitch and attaches to the tow hook area. Both on etrailer have
the same design and will look fine on a wagon. The new GT isnt very
"GT" compared to the 97's. I dont think most hitches look great on
sedans

That's what it looked like to me- all you really see is the receiver, and
the supports extend forward and outward, not sideways as they do on many
cars. We are looking at the sedan, not the wagon, and its not so much the
appearance, as a concern of low-hanging things (we had a problem with a
Camry and an after-market hitch that ued to drag going in and out of parking
lots and gas stations). It doesn't look like it would be a problem on this,
as i suspect the mufflers would still be lower than any part of the hitch.
Hard to tell from the pictires.

I installed a HiddenHitch round tube receiver for use with my bike rack. It
does scratch occasionally but nothing to cry about. The look is okay
although I do like the car better without it.
